Blog Review: FotoFilmic

    • Visually FotoFilmic is appealing, the color scheme is simplistic with a white and black theme. I do not like how the site is organized though because the front page focuses a lot on an event in 2014 that has not happened and on selling prints. I wish that the site focused more on articles and information on photography instead of selling prints and advertising events. Fotofilmic is a review for 90 film photographers. First it is a six month online publication then it features 30 prints from the online publications. There is a variety of cash prizes for the winner. So basically Fotofilmic is an online gallery for film photographers.
    • The article is first perspective article on information about Nate Mathews. Nate Mathews is an artist, photographer, sculpture, and educator from Chicago. Mathew’s teaches at Northeastern Illinois University. Mathews explains how he uses a 4x5 field camera because images can be more perfected than with digital cameras. Mathews explains how his photography has a “poignant feeling”. I liked Nate Mathews work because of its simplistic but crisp like photos. His color schemes well thought out through all his photos making theme pleasing for viewers. I also like how he uses something that is not a digital camera, and the quality the 4x5 field camera adds to the image.
